I also have to ask where was his Aide he said was with him. Mine would have been behind me while i crossed a street. This seems like he wanted attention or to kill himself i don't know which but something is not right. It is sad that no one questioned this more just cause he is in a wheelchair don't mean he should be any more trusted than a walking person.

It would have took precise work to get the handle bars like that. I say they need to ask the hard questions. I don't mean to sound mean.

I am in a wheelchair and have been for 40 years. I do not mean to sound Mean but this COULD NOT happen by accident. Ok he says he was crossing the street, the side of the chair would be facing the truck not the handle bars. Also it would take much preasure to push the bars just right under the grill, I think they should have investigated more and asked more questions of him. Maybe they just felt sorry for him .

There just is no place in the city for big trucks. Unload in out of town way stations and use small couriers to do the rest. Or design the trucks better. And I don't blame the truck drivers why would anybody knowingly do that. It would be silly to blame them. But they are a source of frustration on our roads.

He was making a turn at an intersection, and you cannot see that part of the front of the truck, it is a BLINDSPOT, I drive a semi, the same exact type of truck as that one, and as a matter of fact I read this story in one of the trucker magazines and they interviewed the guy in the wheelchair and the driver, it was not the drivers fault, he just never saw the guy in the wheelchair, please people, before you judge us truck drivers, learn what the reality is, thanks
