  • This is a bit of a late answer @Groongers but the SNES OST was composed by Mari Yamaguchi, who also did the music from Mega Man 5 (NES) and Fight Fight 2 (SNES).

  • correction--Final Fight 2 I meant.

  • FUCK I'm crying this was my very best "planes" game XD and I love it, all was amaizing, the levels, the characters make you feel like you was part of them, the bosses and what I remember the most is this, the music I love it!!! this game was so great, I can imagine a version of this in this times, simply will ROCK!!!

  • @CrescentGrizzlySlash fight fight sounds pretty epic too

  • For information the game was from the manga "aréa 88" ^^

  • Very tough game! Good memories!

  • @CrescentGrizzlySlash It also had Manami Matsumae and Takashi Tateishi.

  • yoooooo presss start NOOOWWWW!!!!!!!!!

  • I prefer U.N. Squadron to Gradius III, because you get a health bar, better controls, and most importantly, less fucking slowdown.

  • I still play this game in my SNES, love it.

  • The music of the first stage in a game will always tell you how awesome it is. Just ask the Castlevania, Sonic and YS series. The music in their first stage is always awesome.

  • They are from the 1986 arcade game Side Arms published by Capcom, quoting wiki "A "chibi" version of the player's Mobilsuit, called "Mobichan", appears in the game as a power-up item that gives the player an extra life. Mobichan has appeared in many console games released by Capcom during the early 1990s as a mode select cursor such as in the Super NES version of the original Street Fighter II. "

    @serpico89

  • does anyone what that thing to the left of 'game start' text is? i know its the icon used to select things but "what" is it??? i've seen it in other capcom games too.

  • Loved this game! Childhood Memories!! Thank goodness for emulators now lol

  • This. This right here, is my childhood theme song. When I was a kid I would play this game all the time. Man I miss those days.

  • @Sin526 I think economy has something to do with it, but not just with graphics. Sound technology was quite limited to, there was no way to do the orchestraic soundtracks you get today. Instead, you got some of the best, most memorable and unique music played with esoteric instrument sounds. And it's all so much better because there was imagination to it.

  • GOSH please put this in a game or something, i want a game with music as good as this

  • I have to be honest... this is my favorite SNES soundtrack ^-^

  • @jdd881 I think since the graphic's technology was more limited back then, they focused more on making good music to "make up" for it so to speak.

  • I have a question.

Why do a lot of older games (NES/SNES era, along with their competitors) have such awesome music compared to today?

  • This song brings tears to my eyes , I was a kid when I Played this game. Back then I had my family around alot but then they divorced and now I never see them and I miss being a kid without a care in the world. This song pretty much represents those times.

  • @MDthornton83 Super Famicon period was probably the best time to play videogames, for me.Not only for age-nostalgic problems, but for the quality reached in some games.

  • Good question. *sigh* Just thinking about this makes me ache inside.

  • Agreed. Whatever happened to those days?

  • @MDthornton83 Yes,that time was the fuckin eldorado period of games.Passion instead of business

  • Man, everytime I fly in an airplane, I automatically think of this song! ^^
