jspartacus is telling the truth. i unfortunately suffer fom tinnitus and it never goes away. the sounds that you hear are always present. So dont fool your self into thinking that you cant be affected, i lived under that illusion for too long and never used ear protection when i went to a concert. I always said to my self that the ringing will go over it always does, which it did for the most part, but the last toime it didnt go away and now 5 years later it still ringing 24/7.
There are ways to get rid of tinnitus now. But it dosn't work on everyone. It's basicly the same thing like they do with deaf people. They implant a magnet and some weirdo sound device that causes counter wawes and zero out the Tinnitus, Anyways, they look awesome :P
Hey loser: Paul Gilbert permanently damaged his hearing from playing way too loud. He will have to wear those ridiculous ear protectors on stage for the rest of his life, so get used to seeing him wear them. Tinnitus doesn't heal, and it doesn't go away. Get educated. It's all a joke until YOU get it and can't sleep at night because of the ringing in your ears.
Nope, wrong. His hearing is irreversibly damaged from playing too loud. Tinnitus from loud noises doesn't go away, it stays with you for the rest of your life. People laugh at it until they get it. I got tinnitus from an ear infection 2 years ago, and it still hasn't healed. Loud sounds damage your ears forever. Imagine hearing ringing noises all the time, even when you sleep: that is tinnitus. Get used to seeing Paul Gilbert with headgear on, he will need it for the rest of his life.
i was at the berkley show, and even tho i think paul is the man, i preferred satch and petrucci... their songs are better even if their technique isnt.
Does those earphones (Direct sound Extreme Isolation EX-29) he uses eliminate the ringing?
