Very very helpful! I have a toy poodle who glaucoma. She is 14 years old. I hate to think about removing her eye, but it looks it’d be cheaper for us and plus she’d be relief.
I have a pug 1 yr old at first we thought the cat scratched her eye but now there saying it is glaucoma. I am trying to find out why she got it. could her eye getting injured cause her to develop glaucoma
But I found it a bit too orientated towards dogs rather than cats and it didn't cover some of the underlying conditions that my vet says can cause the disease in cats (FIV, Cat Lukemia)
I'm awaiting blood test and hope Harriett isn't too sick. This is the third eye problem this year (all different cats).
Excellent video. My cat has glaucoma and there isn't a lot of information out there about this subject. We have been managing his glaucoma for the past 5 years. There was mention in another comment about what medications are used. I will share what has been working for my cat. I am sure there are many medications and/or combinations of medications to manage glaucoma, but this is what my pet is taking.....Cosopt, Xalatan, and Methazolamide. Hope this is helpful to someone out there.
Very helpful, clear and well done. My cat has glaucoma and we had to take her to an eye specialist. The specialist told us eveything in this video is saying, but for a hundreds of dollars. Thanks for doing this video!
First of all, I want to congratulate you by the video,it was very interesting.
I write you because I think my cat has glaucoma. I'm student of veterinary medicine in my country Peru and I'd want to know how to treat glaucoma.Specifically,What are the drugs or methods that are used in order fight off this disease?
I have to spoon feed my dog because the post-op protective shield will not allow to drink or eat. A new design would help.
