Southern Pine Garden Bench Project

It's a fast world. Those words keep rolling around in my head. You probably know the feeling. It's hard to keep up with anything anymore! That's why this garden bench is such a great project. I did it for the Southern Pine Awareness Network as part of our 2009 campaign to promote awareness. The plans were provided by Southern Living magazine. It's not only a great excuse to spend a little quality time with power tools, it's a perfect place to "sit a spell" when you're done. Let me know how you like it!

it's gorgeous. However, the pressure treated wood is toxic and not designed to be used as furniture.

Hey. This video inspired me to use a garden bench as my A-Level design and technology course. Although having trouble finding pieces of timber that are more thhan 6-8" wide. Any suggestions? I'm looking for Western Red Cedar. Thanks.
