  • Nice video. I just posted a dryer plug that caught fire because of lint build up. Dryer need to be service and cleaned every year. Good work.

  • I know the lint is flamable. I still think that the duct material could be made of something else.

  • @MrDsClass the lint is the flammable.

  • Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be logical for makers of dryer vent ducts to use non-flamable material?

  • you just put dioxin in our air that is PVC burning

  • My dryer has no hose, just rigid pipe, and the lint filter was newly cleaned. But recently, I smelled smoke. When I opened the door, there was a small flame coming out of the grill where the heated air enters the dryer, it was easy to extinguish. It must have been dust the built up in the air intake burning. It might have burned itself out if I hadn't noticed it (the clothes were wet), but that's a not much comfort. Unfortunately, you have to take apart the dryer to clean this area.

  • this is why i clean my drier vent once every year

  • better buy Billy Mays Lint-be-gone xD
