My older brother Terry (APE) introduced me to Bruce in my freshman year of HS in 1979. We used to cruise in his 72' cherry red notch back Chevy Vega modified with an aluminum block Buick 300 V-8. He introduced me to life and was only 1.5 years older than me. He died at 39 in Nov. 2001. I now 47, listen to Bruce and dream of those days with my hero, my older brother. RIP Terry..I miss you.

When I listen to Springsteen, I always have a feeling there's so much more going on and that the songs somehow let's you see the bigger picture and that not everything is what it seems. Now, some are difficult to understand (since English is far from my native language) and I often feel sad that there are millions of people that cannot understand a word of English. They are missing so much just by not being able to understand his songs. He just takes the music the music to a different level.
