he is a big dork! and i wouldn't have him any other way! he is so amazing. and such an original. She asked how he would stay true to himself? I don't think he's capable of being anything BUT himself! Thank god for that!!!

Crazy foreshadowing going on here! He uses the word "anthemic", talks about Nine Inch Nails & Man in the Box, says he loves pranks & jokes, & is sitting behind a sign that says "Dream Big", as princessgwen mentioned. AND he ended up singing songs from both U2 & Our Lady Peace on the show!
But maybe it isn't foreshadowing as much as it is David being true to himself two years later. This sounds just like an interview he could be doing tomorrow. Genuine indeed, David! :)

I've always thought like "he wasn't really that hot until he cut his hair at top 9 or whatever" but.. damn.. he was hot here too. <3

It's interesting that his speaking voice is sometimes higher and sometimes lower. He looks so young here, or is a better word "innocent" (which we know he's not at all) compared to now. If he only knew the year he had ahead of him, he might not be so relaxed. Also interesting that he mentioned "MITB" by AIC that long ago. This is a good example of how "stage" David is different than "off-stage" David. Here he is sort of mild-mannered and soft spoken but on-stage he is a rock-star!!
