Thanks

@KingKarl04 I would wear just solid colored dress pants and a dress shirt solid, probably white. Tie is optional. but i definitely wouldn't wear a blazer. everyone else is probably coming in with T-shirts and jeans but now you stand out professionally.

Do your pants match the navy jacket? Mismatching pants and jackets are a no-no, from what I've heard. Thanks for the advice!

do i have to wear a tie for a business interview for coop or internship?

@bossyz33 I would wear a tie during EVERY interview. Unless, of course, you are instructed not to.

Does your suit jacket and your pants have to match all the time?
i'm applying for an articling job at a law firm and was thinking to wear a navy jacket with grey pants.. thought?

@rubberbandman For an interview, yes, your jacket and pants should always match/coordinate. The combination of a navy jacket and grey pants would look great but be inappropriate for the interview.

Now the question is whether or not it's necessary to dress like this depending on the interview. If I'm applying to a restaurant as a pizza cook, should I really wear a shirt and tie?

@ShelterDogs It's true that you have to be aware of the job you are interviewing for and whether or not a full suit is too much or just enough.
