I can put satellite images on my Delorme Earthmate GPS but I wanted the Maps that Google earth program used in 2003 where the foliage is off so I can see the terrain under the trees for marking points that I want to go back to later.Delorme said they could not get those maps and I am wondering if you could choose the 2003 satellite view with Android 2.0 or do they have just 1 basic satellite view? Can you mark spots that you have been to on a map and download them to google earth program also ?

This won't replace your dedicated GPS unit, or Navigon and TomTom GPS software that will work even without a data connection, but you can say bye bye to companies(Telenav) that provide GPS Navigation services using data and charge per month.

Apple does not have a contract with TomTom. They just provided API support to help TomTom and other GPS makers bring their apps to iPhone.
