Islam Reinterpreted In Indonesia

I dont think Indonesia is playing the "taqiyya card". Their Islam was always a little bit different than the "real" Muhamamdan Islam.
That doesnt mean at all that Id like to live under such a system. (Not at all.) Its just nice to see how those forces of (lets call them) moderation and orthodoxy compete against each other.
Even if Id love to wish all Muslims away, it may be Indonesia that will allow/help us to turn Islam into a weakling. (Just as happened to Christianity).

CNN's Suzanne Malveaux should take a plane and land herself to reality.
Indonesia and Javanese islamo-nationalist supremacy is one of the worst violators of human rights of the Muslim world, that makes Pakistan seem like the cradle of tolerance.
Why hasn't she travel also to malukus or borneo or papua to see how tolerant Indonesian islam really is ?

Interesting report. So Islam is safe only when its changed and watered down like in Indonesia. But the unchanged pure form of Islam is quite dangerous and violent. Indonesia might as well return to Buddhism, their original true religion of peace.

"Their Islam was always a little bit different"
Indeed, it always has been. You said nothing that would really disprove such a statement. On the contrary, youve conveniently left out occurrences, tendencies that would support such a statement. For example Christianity in Jakarta has increased about 3x in comparison to the increase of her total population. On average, Indonesian Christian population is more than 2x as much as Christianity in any other average Asian country...
Salaam(peace),
If Indonesia goes back to the true Islam, if all Muslims countries do that in fact, they'll propell their civilization much further then the west, like they once did in the middle ages.
It's down to Allah(swt) wills Inshallah.

"back to the true Islam"
So... Tell us more. Is there Islam and is there true Islam? What is the difference?
"propel their civilization"
Under Islam? Didnt Islam fail because it as well failed to adapt to new circumstances (economic, social and scientific)? Going back obviously wont bring the desired effect. On the contrary it will only worsen the already bad situation.
"down to Allahs Will"
And thats one of the key culprits, aint it. ;-)

Regarding CNN -obama,s visit recently-
Right now, Indonesia’s main asset to the US and other friendly nations is as a counterweight to China, whose belligerent expansionist ways are roiling its Asian neighbors with alarm. Indonesia can be a prime player in keeping China in check. Many of China’s imports pass through ocean straits in Indonesia. And Obama has been smart to revive ties between the Pentagon and the Indonesian military (which still needs lessons in honoring human rights).

Sure... Obama seems to be a smart man... ;-)
"human rights"
Theres no doubt that human rights in the Islamic sphere of Influence are inferior when compared to the "West".
We need to keep that infection in check, since some worrisome tendencies have already been observed. If we dont guard our freedoms, one they we will just wonder about what went wrong.

''Even if Id love to wish all Muslims away, it may be Indonesia that will allow/help us to turn Islam into a weakling.''
Its not so much that i wish to be rid of muslims...as i feel they are the first victims of this vicious cult..one can only hope that you are right though!

"rid of muslims"
Dont understand me wrong. Im not justifying any "genocide" here. By getting rid of the Islamic meme, we would automatically get rid of Muslims, too. Theyd just turn non-Muslims.
