It was historic weekend at the Circuit Gilles Villenueve in both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Grand-Am Rolex Series events.

Another page in the Nationwide Series record book was turned on Saturday after Ron Fellows won the first NASCAR points race run on grooved rain tires.

The Montreal weekend began on Friday with the Grand-Am Rolex race where Mark Wilkins went from third to first in the closing feet of the final lap to win the Montreal 200. The victory was the first for the No. 61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley and it came in the closest finish in the history of the series.
