My new 4#3B came in the mail today and I was able to get a few flights in to get the feel for it. I was really impressed with how it flew out of the box. All I did to it was increase servo travel.

By the fourth battery, I was starting to get a bit too confident. I crashed hard enough to break the tail boom. Cheap and easy fix. Very cool heli.

I'm sorry for the shiddy picture quality.

  • how do you increase the servo travel? im expecting my 4 3b in a few days

  • There is an adjustment pot on the 4-in-1. It's labeled "ext". Use a small phillips head screw driver to adjust to your liking.

  • I just unsoldered the wires from the tail motor and pulled it through. You've got to wick away any solder globs so the wire will fit through the boom.

  • Nice flying! I am getting mine from Mrs Xmas would it be wise for me to shorten servo travel on swash plates as a total noob..?

  • Yes but not too much or the handling will be very numb and the heli will be all over the place. I'd start with the TA pot in the middle and adjust to suit your needs from there. I like mine real twitchy/highly responsve.

  • This is the best flight I've seen of this heli! How do you do it?

  • Thanks! I've been flying helis for almost two years. Lots and lots of practice and lots of sim time in there too.

If you have the basics mastered, the 4#3B is stable and relatively easy to fly. I love it!

  • its always nice to see fellow heli flyers sign off their flight with a crash.

its got to be done, if you aint crashing, you aint trying.

  • Yeah, I got mine today. I've been flying the Solo Pro for a while now and noticed how sluggish the default "ext" setting was on the 5g6. Almost crashed a couple of times due to insufficient response. I've got it dialed to max servo throw now, and it flies like a dream. Almost as good as the single rotor with the addition of better yaw, due to dual rotor. (rotating in one spot smoothly)

  • wait i dont understand that what's an easy way to decrease servo travel?

  • thankyou

  • Nice flying. Have a 4 - 3 and it's my first heli... I haven't destroyed it yet, but realize the time I have to put into learning to fly!

  • Ah ok thanks - Now you going to get some more vids up? I would love to see some decent outdoor flying at speed :)
