Education
More than 60% of children living in poor and remote areas are not able to attend school because of limited school accessibility and classroom facilities in their areas. Your donation will help provide access to education and create better teaching environments in their schools. This means your sponsored child will be able to enjoy the basic education he / she is entitled to.
Health
Every hour, 10 babies and 20 children under 5 die because of malnutrition and preventable chronic diseases. Lack of parent and community knowledge and awareness on the importance of paying attention to children's basic health and nutritional needs are often the cause of this. Furthermore, access to clean water is still a major concern in many areas. Your donation will be used to increase awareness of such issues as well as improving the quality of healthcare and clean water facilities provided to the children, families, and communities.
Economic
Almost half of Indonesia's population lives on incomes of less than Rp 20.000 / day. Children of families living in poverty often do not receive any formal education and are commonly required to help contribute to the family's income by working. Wahana Visi Indonesia strives to strengthen local economies by empowering community groups with skills and resources to create additional means of income to improve their well-being as well as fulfilling basic children's rights.
