With Linux installed on it, and the touchscreen sold at ebay, it makes an EXCELLENT server ;-)

It's very small, and the 6 USB allow for huge external storage, and the akku replaces an USV FOR FREE !
The Intel Atom needs only 2 Watts,
any other processor needs at least 40 to 60...
All of that - for 800 $.

60 Watt *24h *365 d/a * 0.13 $/kWh = $ 68.33 /a for power
2 Watt * 24h*365d/a *0.13 $/kWh = $ 2.28 /a for power

My man, you read my thoughts. Would be awesome to have as a server. Nevertheless I would want this PC to have a bit more RAM, so I can stream HD to my PS3 AND download from usenet at the same time. Plus, there are three systems that make use of the media server currently. This makes it slightly 'underdressed' for what I had in mind with it.

Nevertheless, as with the other ASUS EEE, it'll probably be able to handle 2GB with a little prodding & poking. :)
