At least the cop waited until the dog was actually a threat to stop it. Any dog will try to protect his people and property. My German Shep likes people and has been trained to guard without biting, but she would seem fierce if someone came on my property while she was loose. Uniform doesn't matter to dogs. Dog should have been inside a securely fenced area for the sake of the dog as well as everyone else.

& don't do it like U R just fooling around. They only leave U alone if U really MEAN IT. Actually TRY 2 stab them in the heart if they attack U. Don't hesitate. If U hesitate, or 'brandish' that will just have them running around still trying 2 bite U.

HAHA I've been attacked by dogs countless times. I walk a lot. Carry a pointy umbrella, whether sunny or not, & WHEN they come after U (they WILL, if U walk a lot) U don't need 2 say or do N E thing special. Just stand sideways & try 2 stab it as it comes 4 U. They fly out of the way like fish. They're not as dumb as they act. When something pointy is coming @ their heart, they go away. U may have 2 stab @ them several times, but by about the 3'rd time they always run off (in my experience).

What about when an officer sicks his dog on an INNOCENT CITIZEN and that citizen shoots it? Murder 1. Think cops aren't above the law? You're high.

i hate dogs that use meth.

@vFuhMaZ Yeah tazer. Non-lethal.

@TylerIsHackinCool wait did he shoot it what did he do tazer?

The officer, being attacked by a large dog such as the one in this video, does have the right to defend himself by shooting the dog with his service pistol. Just saying.

@TylerIsHackinCool I'd have to give you a thumbs down.
If a dog you didn't know was jumping at your throat, I'm sure that you would just bend right over and puff flowers and joy out of your ass.
He most likely made the call not to shoot because of the people around him, his gun was pulled and ready to kill.
As I would, or any other person who was about to be mauled.
That dog WAS attacking the officer and the officer used NON-LEATHAL force. I think the officer did a great job in this situation. He could have easily been irresponsible and shot the dog on the spot like most officers do.
