Marva toured with Earl Fatha Hines (the father of jazz piano) for at least ten years, and was as good looking as she was sensational vocally--and that was in the early 1970s. She still looks great, and listen to the range and sumptuous quality. Most of the greats--Ella, Sarah, Carmen--gained lots of pounds, dropped in register by as much as an octave, and began to lose control of their vibrato even before they were 60. This is the only film clip I've ever seen of Marva. More!
Otherwise, I have "My Lover", recorded in his first Long Play (I´m old!) in Brazil, more exactly ina a very famous nigth club, The 150 (Macsoud Hotel). Simple marvelous!.
