It was originally about the fan making noise, but I found out it's caused by the fan controller, which is more than a little disappointing...

I have those fans ( AF 120 quiet edition) on the door of my cooler master cosmos 2 and they make the same noise when on low speed but it goes away on high setting. Oddly though the AF 140 I am using in the rear exhaust does not do this on low. Oh well I guess the fans are quiet as hell on high anyway.
