  • how about a documentary on why they are really there.

we all know thats never going to happen.

  • nationalistic fanaticism is no better than religious fanaticism. killing for country doesnt make it any more honorable.

  • Not the first foray into an Iraq war theme. After the Sopranos he played the sceptical General Miller in the Iraq war satire In the Loop.

  • @batboyjhg would propably be alot harder to start a war when everyone must contribute

  • @Darusdei Yeah, it's not like there's a draft. If there was than it would definitely be easy to feel sympathy.

  • @cosmicmantis well maybe it was a little harsh. but then again when a war is just a choice and a pay check.

i feel for them, tough luck and all but that's what they signed up for.

  • @Darusdei I think it's a bit unfair of you to imply that someone shouldn't sympathize with these soldiers pain, because after all, they do and have gone through pain and are human beings, just because you think that they participated in an unjust war. You're denying their humanity and that they are sentient beings who feel pain because of your BELIEFS which in the end, are just fairly tale fabrications that don't exist while their pain does.

  • "Soldiers don't go to hell"

  • Does he really deserve to host something like this?

  • so should people sympathize with soldiers that were hired to participate in an illegal war?

that was their choice and they paid for that choice
