the Habit worn by mother Theresa is not a sari but based off the design of sari. I don't know the entire history of it but it's not a sari its a Nun's Habit for that particular Sect of nuns...

im a bengali and have grown up seeing grandmom's wearing this style . and i must say that though not wrong , the final result is not accurate either .
