@rswvid hi got a question my i got a 3d blu ray home cinema system, the 3d blue ray has a hdmo output of 2 and my tv has 4 hdmi ports i have 3 hdmi cables which are 1.4, one hooking tv to my ps3 (HDMI CABLE), My cable hd box to my tv (HDMI CABLE) my home cinema system which is blu ray 3d which a hdmi cable...will be able to have saround sound on ps3/hdtv and blue ray 3d player? or would i need a optical cable? will 1.4 hdmi pick it up?

i have this exact ht, and im trying to use my ps3 through it, i have hdmi for picture, and optical cable from ps3 to ht reciever, and sounds not working. i changed the sound settings on the ps3 and still nothing. HELP!!

hmm if only the dvd played cd's, does this have rca outputs? the outputs that are red and white so i can plug an ipod or maybe a cd player

This will play CD's as well as DVD's and Bluray. If you want to attach an external audio source then it has RCA inputs.

Can you get sound through the Home Theatre system when watching free to air TV?

@anthonyhuynyh Yes. I feed the the TV's audio to the HT via an optical cable.

what do you think of the samsung ht-d5300? i want to get it for my room im just wondering if i can control the bass? or is it possible to hook up another sub?

@r4ptors21 I haven't made adjustments to my HT-C5550W recently (it just comes on with the TV and goes off with the TV) so I can't remember details but I recall that the sub relative level can be adjusted in Setup. I don't know if the HT-D5300 is the same but expect it is quite likely.
