3DS to 3DS System Transfer - Part 2 (Last)

Note: The purpose of this video is not to instruct. Merely just the whole process in two parts. And excuse the long title text!

Performing a System Transfer (introduced December 7th-8th 2011) between my old Aqua Blue 3DS and Limited Edition Zelda 3DS.

Hi I bought my girlfriend a 3ds for Xmas and love it so much I am going to buy myself one. But I have been playing Mario World 3D on hers , my question is can I transfer data from the game to my new 3DS so I don't have to re-play levels?

Uhm… I believe all your Super Mario Land 3D progress STAYS in the cartrigde, Nintendo-style. :)

So you would have to either buy her a new Super Mario Land 3D and take her cartridge or simply just borrow hers.

I don't believe it's possible to transfer between cartridges, but since I don't have SML3D, I cannot give you a straight answer to whether you can save your progress onto an SD card and transfer to your new 3DS or not.

Is there a way to have the Ambassador Program games on both systems Source and Target? I have a 3DS and so does my daughter. Didn't know if after I sent the info to hers if I would be able to redownload the Ambassador games or not?

A System Transfer does not COPY your information to the target 3DS but rather just format the source 3DS and transfer all source information to the target 3DS.

Not sure if the Target 3DS will keep its info while adding from the source 3DS:

will i lose everything i have on the new 3ds?, because i also bought the Zelda Edition, but i just want the Ambassador Program, not interested in the miis i had and other stuff

@Magusky Hmm… I believe everything on the TARGET 3DS is replaced with EVERYTHING from the SOURCE 3DS.

I didn't have the option to choose what and what not to transfer, so I guess the target 3DS would be wiped off its current information.

But why would you not want to have all the information from the 3DS you had before?

You'd just want to manually remove the Miis and other stuff afterwards.

Totally worth the transfer for having your Ambassador Program on your Zelda Edition 3DS.

When you do the system transfer, does your data for your games go away? What i mean is, if I transferred all my stuff from one 3DS to another, including the GBA ambassador games, than would my game data be transferred to the new 3DS? I don't want to have to restart my Yoshi's Island if I get a new 3DS!
