Peter Muller - For Funk's Sake ( The Flow ) 2008

Peter Muller was born on the 6th October 1969 and grew up in a musical family. His father played acoustic bass and piano and so Peter came into contact with Jazz very early. He started to learn classical acoustic guitar at the age of nine, taking lessons for about five years. It was during this period that he became interested in funk music. His ears were totally drawn to the sound of the bass and he started to slap on his guitar, trying to sound like all the contemporary bass players he was hearing.
Peter grabbed at the chance when a friend of his father's offered him an old Hoefner electric bass guitar and from then on concentrated solely on bass. He listened to just about everything he could, learning from players like Mark King, Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller. Eventually he decided that he needed a bass more suited to the kind of music he was in to. So in 1983, at the age of 14, he bought the second hand Fender Jazz Bass (Serial No. S8852622) that is still his main instrument today.
