GMnext followed a new Corvette ZR1 through the entire production process. We start with just the frame and end up in the plant parking lot with a brand new ZR1.

  • I love comments from ignorant people. Boys, DRIVE ONE then talk. The car is simply amazing and well worth the price tag. 205 mph off the showroom floor! FASTER, LIGHTER and MORE POWERFUL than almost anything else the world has to offer. It's a record setter in EVERY endurance race it runs. If YOU can build a better car for less, I will fund your company!

  • Nothing like paying $120k to have Laquisha build your car

  • Why do these films never show the frame being welded together? Thats the most exciting and important part to me.

  • ''our people are excited about it because we get to see the customer every single day'' that is such a suck ass mid level manager statement, talk to the men and women actually building the car and see how ''excited'' they are because they get to see some rich fucker buy something there building that they themselves cant afford.there just glad that somebody out there can afford to buy a vette so they can keep there job.i hate suck ass managers who make suck ass statements.

  • what is the song please ? nice music !

  • Sweet rides

  • @LessThanCool We did that back in the 60's - 80's

Bugatti, Lamborghini, etc. all bragging about top speed with their V12's. Oldsmobile Aerotech ran 257mph on a closed course with only a 2 Liter Quad Four... A later version with 4 liter broke practically every endurance record known...

GM has already proven that it's decades ahead of anyone else in terms of engineering and technological might...

  • just need 1 car :)

  • @ZO6 7.19 new record

  • It looks like there is a lot more touch labor on this car than necessary. Can't some of these operations be automated for better quality?

  • This is mass-production, there are some cowboys and Redecks running along the production line, looking to catch it early enough, before it disappears after the next corner.

Watch how the Audi R8 is build, and you will understand, why the ZR1 (made of plastic) is so 'cheap'...please search for: watch?v=oQjP24I8s88
