This video was done on my mobile at 5 minutes past midnight 09, there were 4 like the light in the video and were moving slowly over our house, they aren't darting about like it looks in the video, thats because I was trying to follow a different 'light' and its difficult filming in the sky with a mobile! I have a still pic also & there appear to be 5 lights in the shape of a W when you zoom in on the 'orange ball'.

  • Just a chinese lantern?!

  • @whistlingdixy errrrrr, No

  • Lol - Chinese lanterns.

  • @hadr0n yes of course they are because chinese lanterns can decide which direction they want to fly in, they're very clever.

  • @whistlingdixy you haven't got a clue what you're talking about, what are you, some kind of aviation expert, or geologist, yea, I thought not.

  • @whistlingdixy Can't you try responding without insulting people. Who's the 'dumb ass' hmmm.

These 'orange balls of light' that are being spotted around the world, are being seen 24 hrs a day, not just on New years eve or November 5th. Some are chinese lanterns and some are not. I have lived in the flight path of a major airport all my life and know how things move and change direction. These 'orange balls' were flying close together, so why would just one of them change direction.

  • We saw two of these in Dominican Republic in July 2010.

  • I saw a very similar thing in Portal, Georgia U.S. on july 20th. Redish Orangeish lights, I would call golden colored would all appear together, maybe 4-5 then they all faded out simultaneously miles apart from each other. Then after all others disappeared a single one would fade in & out getting closer and closer to the ground for the next 5-10 minutes. The very next night the most severe lightning storm I've ever encountered took place in the same exact area. Lighting strikes every 5 seconds.

  • I cycle to Urmston from Stretford each week at 11pm and have observed on 6 or more occasions 1 or 2 orange spheres travelling north to south from the trafford region. I'm familiar with aircraft navigation lights both commercial and private and so this is ruled out. No noise is emmited and they seem to travel in that direction during that time, so I keep a look out each evening. I've also spotted the same phenomenon over ashton Village near Sale. The wind directiom can rule out any chinese lanten

  • @emmasmurf8 Are you referring to me or the people who are labelling these lanterns UFOs? I'm not simple minded to believe we are the only intelligent race in the vast vast space of the universe is ridiculous but these are Chinese lanterns, no two ways about it!
