Requiem for EA/BioWare

Definitive proof that the "From Ashes" DLC character is on the disc:

1. Open Coalesced.bin with this http://wenchy.net/me3-coalesced-utility

2. Search for this:
MemberValidCID=22, MemberAvailablePlotLabel=IsSelectablePro­thean,

3. Replace with this:
MemberValidCID=, MemberAvailablePlotLabel=,

That's it. Javik the Prothean is now unlocked. "From Ashes" not required.

From a programming perspective, it seems that a def was made to exclude that character which is recognized by 22 and isSelectableProthean.

It's kind of sad to see what Bioware became, another Gears of War rip off which seeks to enrage its most devoted fans, consigns lore signifcant plots to priced DLC, places the needs of multiplayer above the singleplayer experience(Galactic readiness rating affects your single player campaing...WTF), constant auto-dialogue to show off Mac Walter's 'incredible' writing skills at the expense of RPG elements and an evidently rushed ending which contradicts ME1 and ME 2 lore.

I bought and played Mass Effect. After that I bought ME 2 adding some more worthy DLC (Kasumi, Shadow Broker, Overlord). I also played the game and was looking with hope on ME 3. But then things went wrong. First, failed Dragon Age. I thought: all right they had their lesson. ME 3 will be awesome. But it appears the game is dissapointing. I will not buy an incomplete game for their price. I will either wait until the game is very cheap or download the game to get access to DLC for free.

They not only lied about the fact that the content was made after the game was done (As proved that the content for the prothean is on the disk which you can't do after you've sent it into certification) but they took a huge, massive lore element of the mass effect series, arguably a core story element of the game and took it out to make day 1 dlc

...this sucks...couldnt ea waste another franchise...i mean i dont really give a damn for Need for speed or whatever...but seriously ? ME ? this is just the dumbest thing they ever did..i mean...most of the people who bought ME 3 will think twice about buying an Ea game...at least i hope so...would be sad if not...
