GoPro HD Helmet Cam with Noveske N4 12.5" Rifle

Trying out the new GoPro HD helmet cam with a little steel. I stuck one of the supplied adaptors to an extra MICH mount, works great. The rifle is a Noveske N4 12.5" with Switchblock, AAC SPR/M4, Surefire M952V, Laser Devices DBAL2, Aimpoint Micro T1, Salute Targets, with some Oregon dirt, and a little Wild River IPA to keep it real............

hows the ir illumination with the M952V? im considering making a setup with the DBAL I2 and a M952V using a surefire dual switch to slave both, but with the new DBAL D2 which has <600mw of ir illumination im thinking that just the DBAL D2 is better than having both I2 and the M952V. What do you think? does the M952V have decent IR illumination past 150m with nods?

@bobotea1234 , past 150 I use the illuminator on the DBAL so I don't light up everything right in front of me. I use the IR flashlight for head mounted NODs, and the illuminator on the DBAL for weapon mounted NODs. For my uses, there is pretty much no time I would shoot at night past 100 yards with a laser and a PVS14 or 15. Past 100, it is magnified for ID and shot placement.

I HAVE A SUREFIRE M952V COMING IN THE MAIL. HOW DO YOU LIKE IT? I HEAR DIFFERENT STORIES ON THE LUMEN OUTPUT; SUREFIRE ADVERTISES 150 MAX LUMEN, OTHER PLACES SAY 100 LUMENS, AND OTHER PLACES SAY 70 LUMENS...WHAT DO YOU THINK? DO YOU LIKE THE WHITE LIGHT OUTPUT / IR OUTPUT? ANYONE ELSE HAVE ONE OF THESE?

I like the Scout Light conversion head better. The 952V body is big, but it lets you use the end cap with push button and tail. Anymore, I put the light on the left and hit it with my thumb. As for the lumens, I think it might be a little weak and has a colored tint on the white light, but good enough that I have replaced ALL my non V light heads with the V type. (Except for pistol lights like the X300 & X400).

By any chance can you show how you did your helmet mounting? I'm looking to helmet mount my VHOLDR ContourHD camera. Does the mount hold up well to fast running/moving?

The GoPro comes with a handful of mounts with 3M adhesive pads. I simply stuck one on a spare PVS14 swing arm mounting plate so it mounts to the 3 hole diamond base on my MICH. It is rock solid.

do you run NV a lot?  I see you have a DBAL.

How do you like the M952V and the Spr/m4? I've got the paperwork on the AAC at the ATF and I'm probably going to get the surefire light as well.

Also, do you have any NV's? It looks like I see and IR laser as well as the surefire light having the capability to go IR.

Crazy to think that if you had sub-sonic ammunition pretty much all that would be heard is the chambering of the next round and ping of the target.
