@dusthillguy If I find you a reliable 750, will you use tape on a disk on this in TAR on linux to back up your stufft?

I thought this thing was amazing. I was in my schools computer lab when I first noticed the external drives and the people running the lab looked at me like I was a retard when I asked about them. Bought a couple of disks and was blown away by the storage. It seems they just came out to near the common use of USB storage. but man they were great.

Were these drive backwards compatible with the older 100 MB disks? I think my school may have had a few of these newer units, I know they had the larger ice blue 100 MB units.

The Zip drive had lots of potential
what is that grinding noise, please tell me it aint the drive, its the camera being moved across the table, i have just bought one of these, it looks cool, waiting for a disc to arrive

@Jaqshit
The grinding noise is just the camera sliding across the table. Zip disks are fun to play around with, but I don't recommend that you actually use them to store data. The zip250 drive in this video has failed to read several disks before, and I've lost data because of it.
