    Imagine no religion.

Imagine how far humanity would have been by now if religion had not handicapped civilization for so long.

  • @TalladegaTom Imagine how many planets humans would live on...I wonder if we'd meet Wookies.

  • @TalladegaTom Handicapped is an excellent choice of words.

  • @compendiumgravemind It's downright hilarious. ;))

  • @yesimsandw1ch i would be getting pissed right now had i not known you were basicly making fun of the christian argument. but its kinda funny how it works bothways. argument for wookies argument for god.

  • @yesimsandw1ch Actually we agree more than you realize. I support your stance on religion as a corrosive influence, I just don't think it's the root cause of human conflict.

  • @colourmegone It seems we agree more than you might realize.

  • If religion disappeared tomorrow morning we'd still be fighting wars for domination of the Middle East and control of global resources. It's always "us and them" whether you use religion, political beliefs or economic systems to define the Other and until we learn to live without oppressing each other we'll have the same old problems.

  • @colourmegone You're assuming the analasys is not yet done. Again, I only used the time I could to get across a message of peace and understanding. This single video in no way depicts what I know or do not know about theology and history. We can discuss it in PMs if you'd like a better idea.

  • @yesimsandw1ch Again I agree with you about the corrosive quality of religion, however the problem goes deeper. Religion is just a facet, the problem lies in human psychology. I lived through most of the Cold War and religion was used as an excuse to blacken the name of the USSR as "godless Communists" but the actual dispute was over resources and geopolitical power. Now that the USSR no longer exists the rivalry is still there.

I'm only suggesting that you need to do a deeper analysis.

  • @colourmegone Also, I find it hard to believe you think that the idea of a world coming together despite of the travesties of the past as 'superficial'. Perhaps you used the wrong word?

  • @colourmegone No single human, no matter how evil their deeds are, can keep entire cultures of people from loving eachother the way gods can. What's important is trying to make an actual impact in a reasonable way, and try to be as non-offensive as possible. If I compare theists to Stalin, I bet they'd get ticked off pretty quick, and would disregard the message of my videos entirely. Thank you for understanding the point on at least some level, though.
