Howletts is one of just three other zoos in Europe to house Dusky langurs and with 19 animals the park cares for the biggest collection of this primate in the world.

Dusky langurs, also known as Dusky leaf monkeys or Spectacled langurs due to their distinctive facial markings, are found in Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand. Although not currently listed as Endangered this primate is in decline due to extensive habitat loss.

Produced and filmed by Sam Harwood at Aspinall Foundation PR.
