I agree 100%. I have not been to a single Ole Miss athletic event since this bogus, unfair election was hoisted upon our beloved Ole Miss. One way we could protest is to all sing Dixie during the National Anthem--not to dishonor any American soldiers, but to remind America that our forefathers are important too. Then, either they will take away the National anthem or they will reinstate our beloved "From Dixie from Love." I cancelled my car tag donation.

@TrevBenson I agree. They should keep the mascot because it does represent the South to many people. Removing the mascot is not going to increase or decrease the quality of education at Ole Miss. And I happen to be an African American.

I was born a rebel and will always remain one. I'm a life member of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and have already told the University not to expect any more money from me. What a sham election. We used to be unique, now we just copy some other university's mascot (Baylor U.). What a shame...

last spring my 2 kids did a series of interviews on the old miss campus for their english class. the subject was col. reb. the first 22 students said col. reb was not racist. #23 said the chancellor says it is so i guess he knows what he's talking about? the next 9 said not racist. then one person said deffinitively that it was. this was all videotaped. so the score was 31 for col.reb, 1 against, and one that really didn't know. typical liberal figuring on mr. jones part.

Thank you Will for speaking out against this travesty that has darkened the light of a great university we once called Ole Miss! Your forthcoming of the truth has not fallen upon deaf ears, but has reinforced the spark that when all true Ole Miss Rebel supporters come together & push to regain the historical landmark traditions of this great state!
