I just can't imagine a father who would not be proud to have a son like you. It is not everyone your age who is bright, articulate, humorous, intelligent and well liked. The kind of parent/person that would focus on something they know nothing about rather than these attributes is sad and in need of help. EMBARRASSED to be your father? Shock!

When I came out to my dad I was kicked out of the house and haven't spoken to him in almost three years. It was a pretty lonely Thanksgiving.

But I'm sure and hope, truly hope you and your father can overcome this obstacle bringing you two closer together.
