  • This caused me to think a bit. As far as I know there are no IDEs that allow what you would wish to see in FLEX (someone correct me if I am wrong). There may be a rationale from the developer point of view as to why not. Sometimes we just accept things because we get used to them and it takes a new user to see things with a different eye. If you can drag components, why not allow us to drag the media and have the relevant component created automatically.

  • Interesting, I've had a lot of experience with this problem.

    One thing I would've done is to show an example of the drag and drop interface before showing how you couldn't do it with images.
