Verse: Acoustic piano sound and DX7 rhodes layered for accents. Strings are probably from sample string library (tremolo strings)
Chorus: DX7 fm acoustic piano sound + flanger (I layered here)

Amazing and great to watch. Love this song. Can you tell me how you learn the notes, Do you have files that you put onto your keyboard because that is as close to the original if not it is the same instruments or sound.

@gary72carol61 I import the fragment sample(s) into the synth and then I can analyze it step by step (and if needed slow it down). For sounds often I can identify whether it's analog or digital and type of synth and that helps to reproduce sound especially if it's before '87 (D50 made it lot easier to create complex sounds). In this case it's easy to identify unique DX7 sound (I used to own one as well).

Obviously your know your stuff. Sounds like a very good way of learning. I watched someone on youtube play ABBAs Winner takes it all, and was playing all (Intro only) within 2 weeks and I never played keyboards before. This is what I like about youtube being able to watch others play so well. This just encourages me to learn more. Thanks for the reply and I will keep watching your videos.
