@4FabBEATLES: I agree with you, he was great but I wouldnt say 'with little thanks'. Paul McCartney thought very highly of him, this is obvious from the Wingspan DVD. But he got talked into leaving Wings by Steve Marriott. I dont think he was going to be thanked for that. It was the biggest regret of his life. See this: writing.com/main/view_item/ite

Not many people can say they did much with their life when they were 19... but Jimmy clearly knew he wanted to play guitar and that's just what he did. not only did he play, but he was one of the most creative guitarists I've ever heard. It's no wonder he played lead and wrote solos for bands like Paul McCartney & Wings and Thunderclap outbid all the guitarists in the world, and of all the ones in Wings not many contributed as much as he did in so little time with so little thanks.

Awesome. How old was he at this time? An underecognized guitar god. Gone too soon.

That was so cool, I have this incredible urge to go buy a Gibson Firebird.

My God!Those Selmer amps!!
You can tell he's got a kid's instinctive feel for the instrument, not a technician's touch.
