Beauty And The Beast - Battle/Transformation

This was a play I was in at the Sandy Amphitheater. Belle was Sarah Wirthlin, Beast was Gordon Thomas, Gaston was Zach Hatch, LeFou was Frank Castro, Lumiere was Doug Babcock, Cogsworth was Darren Poulsen, Mrs. Potts was Diane Nebeker, Chip was Andrew Numbers, Maurice was Russell Jensen, Wardrobe was Kirsten Richards, Babette was Lynae Hermansen, Monsieur D'Arque was Stann Babb.

I saw the Broadway tour of this at the Pantages theatre in L.A. I don't know HOW they do it, but some of the tech they can do is ASTOUNDING! Definitely Broadway magic! Rather than smoke, they had him float up into the air perfectly visible and spin around at high speed, and somehow when he landed he had removed the Beast stuff, even though we could all see him for the most part the whole time! It's truly amazing. I LOVE Broadway :)
