No need to argue at the Museum of art.

As Sung by Emilio Delgado (as Luis), Sonia Manzano (as Maria), Loretta Long (As Susan, In the eygption picture), Roscoe Orman (as Gordon, In the eygption picture), Marty P. Robinson (as Telly Monster, In the Mona Lisa), Kevin Clash (as Elmo, In a suit armor), and Bob McGrath(as Bob, In the statue of the Atlas holding the globe).

  • This used to freak me out as a kid. The living statue especially.

  • Are you referring to the one where Ernie gets frighten from the Ernie Statue becoming alive?

  • It would have been neat if they had used the Ernie and Bert Egyption statues in this song.

  • OMGosh it's been soooooo long!!!

  • I LOVED this as a child, I still remember it to this day and STILL love it as one of my fave skit's from the show, its a shame the shows now gone down hill and become too PC as well. I.E: I grew up with the Cookie Monster ALWAYS eating cookies and STILL learnt that they were a 'sometimes' food but now poor Cookie can't even have Cookies all the time because parents etc think that its 'teaching kids bad things' WTF!? They should learn to teach their children right and not rely on a t.v show!

  • As a child, I really enjoyed this skit/song along with "Hola" also performed by Maria and Luis. Later when I got into Louis Armstrong in college, I realized this synonym song was loosely based on "Let's Call the Whole Thing off". Gotta love Sesame Street and its great music.

  • Is it alright that I mention that the subject matter of synonyms is usually taught in 3rd grade (at least that's what grade level I was taught it at.), where as Sesame Street is usually for preschoolers, so I guess this is pretty cool for them to teach something more advanced.

  • Hehehe, I loved this one as a kid, it's funny but at the same time kind of... creepy. It's funny to see Louise and Maria acting so pretentious and out of character, I love how they look at each other after each dispute as if they want to challenge each other to a duel. And then Telly's face appears as the Mona Lisa... kinda creepy even for an enigmatic woman. Then Atlas comes to life and it freaks me out.

  • I loved this as a child, and a random though just occured to me while watching this- Wouldn't it be "fantastic" (hehe) if Maria or Luis was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars! I think they were the stars of everyone's childhood!

  • I remember this one being longer, but that could just be my memory failing me...

  • @BuddyBoy600

No Joke... there's anot man woman or child I know that wasn't flipped out by Ernie and Bert's trip to Egypt. (What were the people thinking?)

  • Holy crap, I haven't seen this for a *decade*, at least.

  • @BuddyBoy600 No, he means the statue holding the globe.
