@enigma99a dude they don't even sing at 3a.m. they start singing as soon as the fist beam of sunlight apears, it's like everyday life for me, but i dunno about the mocking bird pets tho

I had one of these get into my jeep 'cause the window was down and it was in the cargo area trying to get out. I went in through the left rear passenger door and carefully got it out and held it and used my finger to rub its head and pet it. I was going to get someone to take a picture of me with it until it chirped and it took off.
I was glad to just get it out of my jeep so it wouldn't suffocate or wear itself out and die.

I remember when National Geographic made a special edition, which had a tear out 45 rpm record in the magazine printed on plastic. They were making a comparison between Mocking Bird songs and whale songs. It they slowed down the Mocking bird's song by 3 or 4 times, it sounded just like a whale, and they played it to see if any whales would respond...and yes they did! I think it was a 1979 issue. Funny part is when they sped up the whale song, the Mocking bird resopondied to it.
