It shouldn't take any longer after you get through the learning curve. The advantage of this meter is its ability to identify the signal and what satellite you receiving it from.

Well.. As a DNS Tech that just had these ordered for us (the whole LSC), and coming from the Aspen Eagle, I have to say that I'm pretty F'N PISSED that we as a company no longer have the accurate responsiveness of the Eagle anymore.
OK, I'll give it to the Super in that it can 'sniff out' whatever sat's you want. But, it takes me 2-3 times as long to do so with an Eagle and the proper LOS/Mount. 'nough said.

That should work with a stationary dish, but I have a motorized dish.

You can use it with a motorized system as well. Set dish and motor angles. Use USALS to move dish to one of the satellites. Then use Super Buddy meter to find signal by adjusting True South and fine tuning dish elevation angle.

I still use a Birdog, I am partial to it....

The BIRDOG is a fine meter. Specially the Birdog USB plus.
