  • Would you say that the 12's are comparable to the QSC K12 in terms of volume? And what is the RMS rating on these speakers and sub. I cant seem to find those specs ? I know that the ZXA1 was great in clarity but really struggled competing in volume.

  • @TheSoundScientistDJ - We'll be showing these at MBLV in just a few days. I think we'll wait and encourage the attendees to post their findings of how they stack up against other speakers.

  • What's the RMS SPL of the ELX115p? For me, max SPL is useless information targeted to advertize. What I really want as a sound guy is the RMS power specs.

  • Sounds great! I wanted to make it out to MB but wont be able too. I spoke with Sam today, and he said you guys were going to have the EV stand and would be able to really see what the Live X stuff can do. Im really anxious to hear the verdict. Because if they stack up ill be having you guys place an order for me quick!

  • @djteknovibe You should do a realistic measurement of the Mackie, QSC, JBL and EV speakers yourself and see what you really get out of all the boxes.

  • @djteknovibe - We'll pass that along. Because we are also based in Minnesota we have a very good relationship and dialog with the EV engineering team. They take what they do very seriously (which is why their boxes are on tour with Kenny Chesney, ACDC and other big national acts, as well as installed in venues such as Allianz Arena and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium). It's the age old battle between engineering and marketing, but seldom do EV products disappoint, and these boxes rock!

  • @djteknovibe - We agree. Unfortunately most marketing information from every manufacturer can be misunderstood. We actually conduct our ProAcademy series on "Getting what you pay for" to help explain the difference between full-space and half space measurements, Peak and Program power measurements, Frequency response (-3 vs -10), etc. For those wanting to ensure that these speakers are a good fit for them, we encourage dialog with one of our sales engineers.

  • Very informative and geeky. I'm curious how you feel these compare to the qsc k series.

  • "geekery" - nice. :-)

  • Nice job, very informative. Always fun to hear some "geekery"!
