i vaguly remember those, i new someone who had one of those and the speeds were only FASTER and SLOWER and whatever inbetween, am I right? i was 4 years old in 1978 and rememebr it well...
I had one, I was 3. It had no amp, just a needle attached to a plastic speaker in a moving housing assembly under the lid. Real steely, hollow sound mostly. But they were fun and mine miraculously survived, I still have the original box as well.
I had one of these in the late 60's when I was about 5. I did not know what that white switch to the right of the handle did. I seem to recall it only played 45's & it had the large 45 spindle permamently on there though I see this one is playing a small hole 33 record.

My cousin had one when we were kids, and even his had that strange martian sound when we played records on it. Must have been inherant in all of them

@friken0frank2 NO he played a 33rpm 7" record. Those things had variable pitch that could play those type of records.... DUMBASS
