OK almost finished with the sanding. The surface is looking good. Its nice and smooth and does not feel like it has many low spots. I need to apply a little more body filler and sand it one more time. Then I think it will be time to start mocking up the rear of the coupe.

  • How long is that whole process taken so far?

  • @capcloud Well its been about three years so far, but thats counting Blade 1.0 also. I spent a year testing and figuring things out first then started on Blade 2.0.

  • @BaileyBlade are you getting paid for this or just a hobby?

  • @itscody317 Nope... I am funding the whole project.

  • ive been watching your videos for a while and i must say im real impressed with your design. but i just had an idea im gonna throw out there for you. what about a sport top convertible. there kinda difficult to fabricate but you can have the coupe design with a convertible flair. just a thought

  • @TheSElizondo Not sure i understand want you mean... do you mean like a soft top? or like a folding hard top?

  • What car did you start out with

  • @EXPLORINGYouinHD there is a 7M product that is a plastic filler kit. you basically bevel it out fill it with a plastic filler. sand with 120 grit till you get the majority of it off. then use the 100 grit rule after that.

  • @BaileyBlade hard top´s are awesome and looks cool....

  • HELP HELP HELP HELP !!!! can u please help me im doing the same thing to my zx6r 2003 if there are stone chips and kind of deep chunks missing in the fairing not that deep so there is a hole or gone though to the other side do i just body fill it or do something before and after body filling what grit do i start off with to get all smooth then will i have to use another grip to get it smoother its plasic not metal please bare that in mind & what grit were u using thanks

  • any new videos coming soon? Got already used to seeing a new one everyday!!

  • @BaileyBlade (continued..)

Solidworks is great but personally i prefer Autodesk. I find it easier to use and it builds like a sculpture, you cut away from a solid rather than building from air. this way i find its really easy to keep symetry.

another perk to Autodesk, you can make CAD mould files from your design without having to design the mould itself, you just design your part (plug) and then invert it to make the Mould. this can then be used to make the part directly.
