This is in fact the third closest finish in F1. Second is 2002 US GP, with Schumacher and Barrichello's margin being 0.011 seconds. First is 1971 Italian GP, with the margin being 0,010 seconds.

The last 30 laps of this race were absolutely riveting with Senna, Prost and Mansell all dicing for the lead. AFAIK this is NOT the closest finish in F1 history. The closest finish was the 2002 US formula 1 GP where Barrichello beat Schumacher by 0.011 seconds.
This finish was 0.014 seconds.
