I love the horror genre, specifically the slasher sub-genre. I feel as if I grew up on them, providing me with my first impressions of what a horror film was. First with the greats of the late 70s/early 80s HALLOWEEN, FRIDAY THE 13TH, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, etc. Then my generation saw a resurgence of slashers in the mid to late 90s with films like SCREAM, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER followed by numerous sequels, copy cats and spoofs. With that said, I was looking forward to this as my first interview involving a film of said genre. And it could not have been with a more down to Earth, laid back, cool person. She may make being a bitch an art form on screen, but off screen she is the farthest from her backstabbing character. And so laid back in fact, she passed gas in the presence of Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher!
Check out our interview with actress Leah Pipes, of SORORITY ROW and the upcoming TV show THE DEEP END (filming right here in Dallas), to hear her discuss that memorable moment plus her favorite death in the film, how SORORITY ROW bends the rules set forth by slasher films of the past and a how her character, as well as the other sorority sisters, dont take things lying down like typical horror film damsels in distress.
