@Northax Yup - you're spot on there. Though Apple has only done well recently thanks to their superb designs (Ipod, Ipad, IMac, Iphone) which has given their brand a great identity. All of these designs came from a British bloke called Jonathan Ive. One the things the US does so well is group talent together from outside of the US to make a better product, eg. The Ford GT with its European components - or Hollywood, with its British and Australian creative talent.

maybe only in the states people would be stupid enough to choose a cadillac over a jag...but this question doesn't quite apply to anyone living outside north america where Cadillac isn't held in high esteem or even sold.
