Oscar-nominated actor Matt Damon reunites with his Bourne director Paul Greengrass for the new action thriller Green Zone. Set in Baghdad, Damon portrays Roy Miller, a warrant officer who helps a senior CIA officer in the search for weapons of mass destruction. Miller is based on real-life Army chief warrant officer Richard (Monty) Gonzales, whose Mobile Exploitation Team was charged with finding WMDs during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
Although it appears that Green Zone could be another Bourne movie, it also has a unique recipe that has often brought other films to their knees at the box office—a plot centered around the Iraq war. Director Greengrass delivers a fast-paced, highly intense film that will have audiences glued to their seats. Having worked with Matt Damon on both of the Bourne films, the actor and director have established a relationship that delivers quality filmmaking.
Tribute's Bonnie Laufer spoke with Greengrass in New York about his faced-paced action style, and why he and Matt work so well together.

  • I salute the director's courage in making a film like this.

It's almost like a global warming documentary in a way that those who need to watch it would never watch it and those who have watched it are the ones that didn't have to.

Sure the idea of this whole WMD bullshit is no big news to most people but still, it's just sad that most people simply just don't give a shit.

Thousands die, cities burn in flame, all at the expense of our ignorance and entertainment. God bless America.

  • @Kochofication Personally, I think Greengrass is one of the best directors in the industry. His style is what makes the action so amazing, it gives the viewer an adrenaline rush, and you feel the urgency and the danger that the main character is in. In my opinion, action movies that either have very little camera shake during action, or none at all, are hard to get immersed into.

And, hardly anyone would get motion sickness from it. But, like nikonfseries said, you're either a fan, or a hater.
