I have never seen this race, thanks for posting.. too bad Stecher was a GDR cheat. She really robbed Boyle a chance of superstardom in her native country.

ok,stecher took drugs,but heres the thing.If she were running today,nobody would notice.Apart from the fact she might not make a major sprint final,she isnt anywhere as near as muscular,or as cut,as todays female sprinters.What we accept today,as "normal"really isnt,and its the same in most sports.If anything,if stecher were competing now,she would look more feminine than many i see lining up at the starters blocks.

I read recently that Stecher is living alone in a tiny public housing estate and is a national disgrace with only her tainted gold medal - which she refuses to give up - as company.
By contrast, Australia recently celebrated Raelene's 60th birthday - hosted by the Australian Prime Minister in front of 1000 people who paid $US200 per head (for charity) to be there.
I know who is the ultimate winner in life - but it is a disgrace that the drug cheat will not hand over the gold to Raelene.
