ugh what is it with people and the "my way is the only way" attitude? your going to find dark history in every religion, including your own. I myself am a beginner in wicca, you are not supposed to harm others because what you do comes back to you. Why don't you take a look at your own religion (from the vid it seems like christianity) and what it has caused before saying that others are "evil"?

Samhain is an old celebration of the end of the summer, sometimes along with remembrance of the dead, purification rites such as jumping through the bonefire, etc. The druids had a different date for sacrifices.
Furthermore, Samhain is not a name of any historicaly noted god (you shouldn't believe all you see on Supernatural). And that's just a few things regarding Samhain.
Did you actually read a book, or at least looked it up on Wikipedia?
Or just felt in a Bible-thumpin' mood?

What's even more scary than Halloween? Christians rounding up human beings, torturing them, and after forcing a confession, burning them alive. Don't be afraid of Halloween people, be afraid of Christians who are afraid of Halloween.

Wicca as a religion didn't exist until the fifties. However it's ideas have been around longer than Christianity. The original followers of Jesus weren't Christian as a religion, but they had the beliefs that many Christians uphold today.

It's hard to say whether the animal/human sacrifice stuff is true. It depends on whether you're willing to accept some historical sources at face value. Perhaps it really did happen, or perhaps certain interested parties, like Christians and Romans, rewrote history to make their rivals/adversaries look bad. At any rate, pagan human sacrifice couldn't have been more gruesome than the Church burning live convicted witches at the stake.
(Extremeist Christian finds out that Halloween is based off Samhain)
"Stop everything that has anything to do with Halloween! It is evil!"
(After he/she finds out that Easter, Christmas, and Candlemas are also based off of Wiccan sabbats.)
"Well fuck..."
