""Humans are almost entirely the cause" of climate change, according to a scientist who once doubted that global warming even existed. Last year, Richard Muller walked back years of climate change skepticism in light of new research. But Sunday's comments go one step further. Muller wrote in an NYT op-ed that after exhaustive research, he believes that an increase of greenhouse gases can be closely linked to the rise in the earth's temperature...".* What do the Koch brothers think of this? The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Education is high and governmental repression is high as well, it's not necessarily possible for that gov't to make such change itself- what's required is a world-wide move, only way to make cleaner technology profitable is use en masse. Also, more and more Chinese are educating themselves on environmental issues and making noise in their homeland- by education I wasn't referring to a physics program or gymnastics, social education.

I don't think your plan can be feasable. As Richard Muller mentioned, the developing countries will only embrace more environmentally-friendly technologies if those technologies are economically profitable for them. Education can hardly have much effect on that issue.

On the other hand, it's likely that the quality of basic education be already higher in China than in most Western societies.

The problem isn't *that* they're developing, it's *how* they're developing. I was referring to developing educational systems such that people don't make such catastrophic choices in the first place. The developing world is building itself on dirty energy and lax environmental protection- it's the fastest way and exactly how we did it which is what makes the issue so difficult- we in the West have a long history of 'do as we say, not as we do' which doesn't go over very well for obvious reasons.

That's a fallacious reasoning (a dicto simpliciter ad dictum secundum quid), the conclusions drawn in CERN rarely lead to political decisions.

According to Richard Muller, it's precisely the economic growth of developing countries like China and India the main threat of a potentially catastrophic Global Warming in the future.

"Climate Change Skeptic Does 180 On Global Warming"

This title is misleading and calumnious, Richard Muller hasn't changed his mind (just have a look at his lectures and interviews of 5 years ago), so I'm going to report this video as such.
