I own this movie and watch it every few months, but I can't help but feel profound sadness everytime I see her fall down and break her bowl of dumplings, at about 1:30 in this video.

"The Road Home" is the most beautiful film ever. I never thought that Zhang Ziyi will be nicest in rural jacket, dirty tracksuit and rubber boots. But it is really fantastic movie. All Zhang Yimou's films are very great and everythime I am watchin his films I am crying. Like "The House of flying daggers", "Hero", "The curse of golden flower" and other ones. I think his movies changing your view on the world and yveryone must see it. It's unforgettable! I love it!

Love this movie. I am Asia, but I am not Chinese. I love the country life and the innocent love story. I still cry every time I watch it. It's a profound love story. It's too bad people rarely make this kind of love story movies. AND unfortunately, people don't have this kind of "innocent" love story also. If you know of similar movies with English subtitle, let me know. I would love to check it out.
